July flowers

July is a big month for us and for flowers. Things are in full swing! We are harvesting lots of zinnias and dahlias and cosmos!

I was able to head to the mountains on a backpack trip for a few days in Desolation Wilderness. I spent time jumping in mountain lakes and identifying plants and wildflowers. I love hiking, and could have continued walking for many miles. 6 years ago before starting my business I hiked for 2 weeks on the Pacific Crest Trail it was one of the best experiences of my life. I hope to do a longer backpack trip again soon.

Today I am headed out to Sunol to finish up our winter squash sowing. The popcorn is in the ground as well. This fall we will have some delicious squash and popcorn to offer too!
